About Stoves

There’s something elemental and satisfying about making fire, no wonder the roaring flames become so hypnotic. Stoves themselves are charming and pleasing in their design, with a timeless quality that adds ambience to any room. They are also easy to use, environmentally friendly, and clean burning. The iron and steel from which stoves are made have many advantages as materials – durability, good heat retention and longevity – as well as the ability to be moulded into a great variety of shapes and textures, giving aesthetic beauty and immediate appeal whether your interior style is traditional or contemporary. This also means that stoves come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes with different purposes and designed to use different fuels.

This can be confusing when you have no previous experience of just how effective stoves can be in the right situation, properly installed and operated. The wrong choices or the wrong advice can lead to disappointment and a waste of both your time and money. Our aim is to provide you, as our customer, with a comprehensive range of products from the best of the leading manufacturers together with professional, easy to understand advice so that you can make the right choice for your home. Both wood burning and multi-fuel stoves have come a long way in the last century, and are now perfectly adapted to modern living. Modern stove manufacturers use pioneering technology to significantly reduce the carbon emissions from a traditional stove. They are also exceptionally efficient; more of the fuel is ignited, resulting in an increased heat output, less smoke, and a cleaner environment.

The design of modern stove interiors actually creates currents of air inside the stove to ensure that fuel is burnt evenly and efficiently. This will maximise combustion, so that more fuel is burnt and less is turned into deposits in the stove, chimney, or atmosphere. You can also open up a modern, stylish open-plan living space with a dramatic fire as some stoves are designed to be double-sided. Open on both sides, they radiate heat throughout the space, transforming your environment with flickering firelight.

Or perhaps you need a stove that can run your heating and water - a complete home heating solution? Some models of stove are designed to accommodate an optional boiler. That boiler can provide heating throughout your home with hot water radiators, heated towel rails and, of course, plenty of hot water for showers and baths on cold winter nights! This model for example, is a large multi-fuel stove designed to run radiators – up to 15, to be precise. It runs at maximum efficiency to produce a monumental combined output of 26kW. Take off those gloves. You’re home!
