Carbon Monoxide Alarms
Home Safety
The consequences of a carbon monoxide or gas leak at home can be disastrous. Every year there are thousands of deaths and injuries in houses all over the world that could have been avoided with the installation of an easy to use and cost-effective gas detection unit.
Please Note:
From September 2014 as a result of changes in the Building Regulations, householders are required to ensure alarms are fitted when new or replacement boilers, fires, heaters and stoves are installed. Building firms will be required to make sure the alarms are fitted in new homes.
Carbon monoxide detectors are required to be located in rooms where appliances are fitted, as well as in or near bedrooms. They are also mandatory in habitable rooms where a chimney is attached to any heat-producing appliance. Latest figures indicate that about six people in Ireland each year die as a result of preventable carbon monoxide poisoning.
Cannon Carbon Monoxide detectors are available at our Drimoleague showroom.
